The events

My Hero Academia is a shounen manga and anime series that follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, a young boy born without superpowers in a world full of people with them, as he strives to become a pro-hero. The anime adaptation, produced by Bones, began airing in 2016.

The Sports Festival plays an important role in the story. It is an annual event where all the schools in Japan that teach people with superpowers (known as “quirks”) compete against each other in various sporting events. The schools are ranked based on their students’ performance, and the festival is used as a way to recruit new heroes by agencies and sponsors.

The first event of the festival is the Cavalry Battle, where teams of students from each school race to capture banners from the other teams. This event favors team-oriented quirks and is won by Oyako’s team, which includes Midoriya and his friends Bakugo and Iida.

The second event is the Obstacle Race, which requires individual contestants to navigate through a series of obstacles. This event favors mobility-based quirks and is won by Kirishima, another one of Midoriya’s friends.

The third event is the Fighting Tournament, where students fight one-on-one in a bracketed tournament. This event favors combat-based quirks and is won by Shoto Todoroki, a student from another school who comes from a famous family of heroes. Midoriya makes it to the semifinals of this event before losing to Todoroki.

So who wins the Sports Festival? Ultimately, it depends on your interpretation of the events. If you think that Oyako’s team winning the Cavalry Battle is more important than Kirishima winning the Obstacle Race or Todoroki winning the Fighting Tournament, then Oyako’s team is the overall winner. However, if you think that Kirishima’s victory in the Obstacle Race or Todoroki’s victory in the Fighting Tournament is more significant than Oyako’s team’s win in the Cavalry Battle, then Kirishima or Todoroki are the overall winners respectively.

The winner

The winner of the Sports Festival is Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku. He is the main protagonist of the series and wins the Festival by defeating Katsuki Bakugo in the final round.
